Abstract
U ovome radu proučavati ćemo transcedentnu ravninsku krivulju1 traktrisu. Primjenom dosadašnjeg znanja iz diferencijalne geometrije izračunati cemo jednadžbe traktrise, odrediti ćemo neka njezina svojstva te ćemo izvesti površinu i volumen tijela koje nastaje rotacijom traktrise oko x osi (tj. njezine horizontalne asimptote). Na kraju ćemo navesti neke od vrsti traktrise te povezati traktrisu i pseudosferu.
